This semester we are going to do a lot of traveling. Some of it is already behind us and some of it is coming up very soon.
A few weeks ago we went to the capital here in Hungary - Budapest,
and spent a day there sight seeing. We went to see the Jewish Synagogue
(which is the largest synagogue in Europe and second largest in the world)
we saw the famous Catholic Basilica in the center of town and the Heroes
Square. Then Whitney went to a nearby city in Hungary, Pécs, to
see her Hungarian missionary friend Lili. The Lord answered your prayers
concerning weeklong outreach, and it looks like we will be traveling North!
In the next two weeks we will go to Slovakia and Finland for outreaches.
This weekend, the 14th through 16th of April we are going to Tatabanya,
Slovakia, where we will be helping out with a Creation vs. Evolution
Conference. The following week, staring on the 21st and ending the 29th,
we will fly off to Helsinki, Finland where we will meet up with
the missionaries there and have a good week of evangelism and fellowship.

The leaves are inscribed with the names of some of the Jews that died in Hungary during World War II.
This massive tree is built as a memorial to them. (Around 300 thousand Jews were killed in Hungary in the WWII.)

This semester there are eleven married couples living on the campus, which is the most married couples studying here at one time.
Mike and Lori Pritchard are an older couple on staff. They have opened their home to all of us every Friday night for a
"Marriage Bible Study". We are going through Ephesians 5:22-33 in-depth.
They have been an amazing blessing to us with their encouragement, fellowship, and their insight into marriage God's way.

Every Saturday night the college has a 'theme dinner'. What happens is the team serving the meals that weekend picks a theme,
decorates accordingly, and we come all dressed up! We thoroughly enjoyed the Pajama Night! Next to us in the picture are our
good married friends, Tim and Christina! Throughout this semester we have been truly blessed by the friendship of Tim and Christiana.
We have had great times laughing, going on walks, playing games, and just hanging out with these guys.
The best part of their friendship is their encouraging words and their willingness to pray with us when we are sick, or down.

Speakers Week:
One week out of the semester speakers from all over come to share with us here in little Vajta, Hungary!
One of the main speakers was Allen from Texas who shared from the book of Nehemiah.
His main focus was on people who make a difference, i.e. 'momentum builders' as he called them.
We learned about a person who is able to receive a vision from God, and follow through with that vision to success.
It was such an encouraging study through Nehemiah's vision to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
We had some speakers from Florida, Scotland, Budapest (capital of Hungary), Romania, and even some ex-Harvard professors!
The week was thoroughly edifying. If you would like to read more in-depth about what the Lord taught
us through this week you can check out Aleš' or Whitney's Speakers Week Paper .
