Approaching the Finish Line…!!!

Dear Family and Friends,
I am quickly approaching that finish line of graduation, May 17th, and before I know it I will be there with all of you, enjoying your company and catching up in person. I arrive in Boise on May 23rd, late in the evening, and I would love it if you all would be willing to email me your phone numbers, so that I can get in contact with you when I arrive!

Israel
Whitney and Ales on the Sea of Galilee Israel was a fast-paced, mind-blowing experience for me. There are so many pictures I want to show you all, and lesson upon lesson I want to share with you that the Lord taught me while I was there. However, the main thing I will remember about Israel is GRACE. My traveling buddy, (aside from Ales) was the book "Why Grace Changes Everything". Seeing all the historical sites, and all the physical proofs of the validity of the Bible, and all the places where Jesus walked and had been, pointed me so much to God's grace! This whole Christian reality is a reality of the grace of God, and receiving that which we do not deserve, on the basis of that which we did not do!                      The Sea of Galilee

Grace (Speaker's Week)
We arrived back from Israel, for one week of classes, and headed on into our special conference time of the semester, Speaker's Week. Again, the main theme of all the combined speakers was that of grace! (I think the Lord is trying to tell me something!) I have attached a copy of the book report I wrote on Why Grace Changes Everything, concerning all the Lord has been teaching me about His grace! As beautiful new life is springing up all around us, and the birds are beginning their lovely morning tunes, so is God's grace brightening up my days, and bringing fresh life into my walk with the Lord! It has been so refreshing to live in God's grace once again!

Ethan Larson and his family The Lord pleasantly surprised us during Speaker's Week! Ethan Larson, a former Assistant Pastor of my home church Calvary Chapel Boise, arrived in Vajta, Hungary, from Priluki, Ukraine. His was an unexpected face to see here in Hungary, and I actually didn't recognize him at first. It was great to introduce Ethan to Ales, and to get updated on all that has happened over the last three years in both of our lives, since his move to Priluki, Ukraine, in 2003.

Praise reports:  Thank you for all of your prayers for us! The Lord is really working through them.

- Divine Appointments in Israel: At David's Tomb, inside of Jerusalem, we were able to meet up with the group from Boise that recently went to Israel! It was a blessing to see Stephen Reynolds, and meet Mike & Linda Sasso, the Mission's Pastor & wife of Calvary Chapel Boise!
- Open Doors: The Lord recently opened two major doors in the area of an Apologetics ministry in the Slovene language, with CFAR and Carm.org ministries. Ales will most likely be translating a lot of their information into Slovene, and making a Slovene apologetics website. This project has yet to take a solid form however.
- 10 Day Outreach to Slovenija: We are currently doing an outreach in Slovenija from April 15th until April 23rd.

Prayer requests:
Open Doors & Prayerful Decisions:
     - Outreach to Slovenija: Please pray that the Lord would accomplish all He wants to, and that we would be led by His Holy Spirit.
     - Future Ministry Opportunities: Please pray for wisdom concerning the Apologetics ministry, and how involved we should get, and in which ways to go about it.

Salvation's & Growth:
     - Madison's continued growth in the Word, and connection in the Body of Christ.
     - Mojca, Ales' mom, that she would make the decision for Christ.

Strength to Give it All I've Got:
     - Time Management for completing all the assignments, and all the other requirements we have to meet here.
     - Endurance to finish our time well here!

Transition to Slovenija:
     - Wisdom concerning all the transitioning.
     - Open doors concerning paperwork… that God would open the way for Whitney's residency.
     - Further direction as we arrive in Slovenija and desire to see God work.
