Aleš and Whitney Lajlar's
Summer 2005
Newsletter

Hello to Family & Friends,
We enjoyed the three months of summer in Slovenija. God provided for us a big apartment in the center of Celje, and many small jobs for Ales to work while we were there. We were blessed to be able to host a missionary team from Germany for a weekend outreach, using this apartment that God had provided for us! Also this summer we celebrated our one year anniversary in a trip to Corfu Island in Greece! We spent a week on the sunny beaches, and then came back to the rainy weather in Slovenija. Whitney took a trip home to Boise, Idaho during the beginning three weeks of August, and we moved back to Vajta, Hungary that last week in August to begin Aleš' internship.

The kitchen we enjoyed              A group from the church                 Fellowship with the team
this summer.                     playing a board game with us.                     from Germany.

We are back in School.
We are now settled in Vajta, Hungary for the year to come…no more moving!!... and have had a great start for this semester. Aleš's internship is a year long program that will last until August of 2006. This semester Aleš is overseeing all the Practical Servanthood Areas, as well as specifically overseeing the Night Watchmen Program, and is Teacher Assisting the Biblical Theology Course. Whitney is on her third semester of Bible College, and so far has been most inspired by her Nehemiah course! Whitney is privileged to teach the Calvary Chapel Academy Music Class again this semester! Calvary Chapel Academy is an elementary and middle school for all the missionary pastor's children.

One of the requirements of the internship program is to lead a week-long outreach, and we really wanted to lead one to Slovenija. However this door has been closed, seeing that the one Calvary Chapel Pastor in Slovenija will be visiting America during the dates we would be available to go. So we are praying that the Lord will open another door, and give us another idea as to where He wants us to lead a short term team.

We would love to hear from all of you personally, to see how the Lord is working in your lives, and to know how we can be praying! So please email us!

Prayer requests:
- A destination for the week long outreach.
- Grace in our time management.
- That the Lord would keep us healthy.
- Continued leading through the book of Nehemiah!
- Wisdom to be good stewards of all the resources God has given us!

Praise reports:
- We were blessed to get the same room that we got to live in the last two semesters!
- The couples Bible Study on Fridays is going to continue for another semester!
- We really enjoyed a summer full of fellowship with the church in Celje.
