The Long Overdue Update
(from April until Sept.!)
Jumping ahead…
Dear Family and Friends,
First of all we apologize for not being in contact for these couple of months. We have had much transition and change and weren't able to keep up with it all.
We divided this newsletter into two parts: The first part covers our last outreach, the end of our Bible College experience, and our summer spent apart. The second part is up to date with our current news and the move ahead.
Part 1:
Going back to April
Our First Outreach to Slovenija
During the third week of the month of April we were able to head over to Slovenija for a time, to prepare for our move in October, and to visit the church in Celje, and the missionaries around. We did a partial move, and put a lot of our boxes and things in storage there, to make it easier in the near future with transportation. It was during this short trip that God blessed us with a very pleasant surprise, the conception of our first child…which we will elaborate on later.

Graduation
On May 17th, Aleš graduated from his year long internship, although it wouldn't be completed (time-wise) until the end of August, and I graduated with an Associate in Theology! We will soon be putting up a new link on our website, to a short video of the graduation, and the speech I gave, so don't forget to be watching for it!

A Pleasant Surprise
The pleasant surprise was not official until May 19th when we got our first positive pregnancy test. This happened to be the day we were leaving Vajta, Hungary to get me on my way to America. It was fun to get to announce the news of being pregnant to the last couple of people who hadn't left from the semester.

Saying Goodbye for a Long Summer
On May 23rd I boarded a plane in the Croatian airport, waving goodbye to my love, not to see him again until September 2nd…WaY tOo LoNg! It was to be a very hard yet good growing experience for us both, living lives apart for so long. And the saying is true: Distance makes the heart grow fonder. However, I was excited to be on my way to my hometown in Boise, Idaho, where I would be able to spend lots of quality time with all my family, my friends, and those from the church!

Part 2:
Now Coming up to the Present
A Retreat with Kalvarija Celje
So Aleš stayed in Hungary to complete his internship while I went ahead to America. He got the opportunity to join the Kalvarija Celje on a retreat to Crikvenica, Croatia, for a refreshing time of fellowship and fun! You can check out the page with pictures and videos of that time, July 8th- 14th, 2006.
Aleš is here and we are on the home-stretch…
Aleš came to Boise on September 2nd and we had a sweet reunion and belated celebration of our two year anniversary together. On Monday the fourth, my parents threw a "Welcome Home Aleš" party, and it was a great success. All the family came and we enjoyed each others' company, as well as good food and fun games!

IT'S A GIRL!!! Or so they say…
And finally up-to-date…we had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday, September 8th, and found that our little baby is a girl! (or so they say…) We will be thrilled no matter what the sex of the baby, we only hope for a healthy one! We had thought we were having a boy, because we both had a dream that it was a boy and that we named him Daniel, on the same night…so we'll see what's in the oven when it comes out!

PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Please pray for our travels to be safe and as comfortable as possible.
We leave the States on the 4th of October, heading for Slovenija.
- For the baby's healthy development.
- An easy transition time as we once again move homes.
- To have Jesus as a focus in everything we do,
and trust Him fully as we embark on this journey in life.
- For God to open those doors He desires us to walk through,
(ministry and job-wise) in Slovenija, and wisdom to discern.
PRAISE REPORTS:
- God has provided for us a place to live in Celje, Slovenija.
- There are already job opportunities available when we arrive for both of us.
- The baby is growing healthily and steadily thus far!
